American Red Cross Babysitting Course

Looking to babysit over holiday breaks to make some extra money? Want to be recognized for having a babysitter’s certification? Now offering Babysitting Courses (ages 11-15). Earn your American Red Cross Babysitting Certification and you can choose to get certified in CPR and First Aid as well at the same time!

The primary purpose is to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid.

Dates

Friday December 10th 2:00-5:00p & Saturday December 11th 10:00a-1:00p (w/CPR and First Aid) 2:00- 4:30pm (whenever they finish with testing). Must attend both days.

Cost:

$60.00 (without CPR/First Aid Certification) 

$75.00 (with CPR/First Aid Certification)

Certification Requirements:

Candidates must:

• Attend and participate in all class sessions
• Participate in all course activities
• Demonstrate competency in all required skills without any coaching or assistance
• Successfully complete the written exam
  • If participants are completing the optional lessons on CPR and/or First Aid, they must also pass the final written exams with a minimum grade of 80% and complete a practical scenario.

**Please note, if you would like to get your CPR/First Aid Certification, further instruction and time will need to take place outside of above timeframe **

**In order for the class to run, there must be a minimum of 5 participants enrolled**
